How to Become an Avon Representative

  1. Step 1

Sell Avon by becoming an Avon Representative. Whether your mother or grandmother sold it in the past, you have sold it in the past or you just would like to give it a try for the first time, there is no better choice for a direct selling company. You may not know how to go about getting started, but the first step is to make the decision to become an Avon Representative.

  2. Step 2

Find an Avon representative and start selling Avon products right away. The most popular way to start is to be recruited by another representative or to seek out another representative wanting to become a representative. Ask if she can sign you up. Many reps are Leadership Representatives and can give you a kit and sign you up on the spot. Once you complete your application, you can start selling immediately.Another way to become a representative is to go to www.avon.com , fill out the form, and wait for a representative to contact you. Either way, you will have to meet with the representative who signs you up to get your start-up kit, do some paperwork, and pay the $10 administrative fee. Look in the telephone book to get the number of your local Avon District Manager. You can call 1-800-FOR-AVON

  3. Step 3

Sign up to become an Avon Representative. This action is referred to as an appointment. The appointment will include you first training contact and you will receive all the necessary information you will need to get started selling Avon products. The cost is will be $10 and you will receive a starter kit consisting of 20 brochures, a box of samples and lots of other valuable information to help you be successful with your business. All it takes is $10 to become an Avon Representative. That’s it! No hidden charges, no product that you have to purchase to keep in inventory, nothing more! You order products as you need them to fulfill orders.

Tips & Warnings
  • To get customers, start with your family and friends. Go to your neighbors and let everyone in your neighborhood know that you are a representative. This will help you get your first sales. The forums on the Avon representative's website has many people who can help give you ideas on getting more customers.
