Things You'll Need:
- A Christian date
- Idea of Christian values
- A great date activity
- Social skills
-
Step 1
Do some research. Before you head out on a Christian date, it's a great idea to do your homework. Research some contemporary Christian bands, read up on religious news and try to understand traditional Christian values. Not only will you be more confident on your date, you'll have more to say.
-
Step 2
Treat your date like any other person. On a first date, you're supposed to be friendly, non-threatening, and interesting. The same applies for a Christian date. If you don't have good etiquette and forgo your "please" and "thank yous," you probably won't get a second date.
-
Step 3
Ask your date about their church or what they enjoy doing in their free time. For Christian daters, their church is often a big part of their life. They might attend youth group, singles' group, or other events on a regular basis. Find out as much as you can about what they do in their free time.
-
Step 4
Discuss your religion, but steer clear of politics. Politics is a touchy subject for many and the best way to sabotage a date is by declaring your political party standpoint. However, it's fine to discuss whether you're a Baptist, Lutheran or Methodist, as this adds to the conversation.
-
Step 5
Pick up on your date's body language. If you're discussing religion or Christian values and you notice your date looking down or squirming, it might be a good idea to move onto something else.
-
Step 6
Talk about your family and friends. Traditional family values are an important aspect of a Christian's life and a great topic to chat about on a date.
