Cockroaches are the ultimate pest-house guests that are dirty, disease-carrying and embarrassing when you have company and otherwise. They breed in walls, under sinks and washers and like damp, dark places to make their home. Turn on a light at night and they'll scurry away; but not always. Sometimes humans and light will not scare the critters and they'll stay put. Try this home remedy to kill the nasty pests once and for all. This method is environmentally friendly, and won't hurt you or your kids or pets.

Things You'll Need:

Baking Soda--Roaches Will Get A Rise Out Of It!

  1. Step 1

Buy baking soda if you have none handy in your kitchen cabinet. Sprinkle the baking soda around where you have seen the cockroaches. This could include in your kitchen cabinets, on counter tops, around your stove, in the bathroom, kitchen, or under the sink and refrigerator.

  2. Step 2

Remove dead cockroaches when you come across them as the baking soda works this way: The roaches eat the baking soda; it expands in their bodies and makes them explode.

  3. Step 3

Sprinkle more baking soda around when you see more roaches or a different breed than the ones you were first infested with. Gradually, you will see a significant reduction in the amount of the critters that you actually see. Sweep regularly to remove bodies and any scattered baking soda.

  4. Step 4

Sweep regularly to remove dead bugs and any scattered baking soda.
