Step 1
For good all-around pub fare, try the Dog & Duck Pub (406 W 17th St) for some delicious fish and chips that come in "small" and "large" portions (you have to be VERY hungry to finish the latter.) Also worth trying are the burgers and especially the "bangers and mash," which is sausage, mashed potatoes and baked beans that will satisfy any late night cravings. There are also video games, a working jukebox, a pool table, and some dart boards if you fancy some fun. And if for some reason you happen to be out with Fido, there are water bowls for your pooch (and perhaps a doggy treat if they have some on hand). The porch is also dog-friendly, and you'll even have a fair shot at parking your car legally in their lot. The Dog & Duck Pub is open until 2 AM.

Step 2
Kerbey Lane Cafe at 3704 Kerbey Lane never closes. Known for their own queso, sweet potato fries, and gingerbread pancakes, this cafe appeals to a number of tastes. There are vegan options such as hummus, tabbouleh, breakfast tacos on corn torts, and a tofu cheesecake. Their 24-hour breakfast menu that includes some great deals such as the Kerbessential Breakfast, which comes with 2 eggs, any style with your choice of 2 sides for $4.75; if you choose to add two all natural sausage patties, it's $5.95. There is also a seasonal menu, a bakery menu, sandwiches, soups, salads, tacos and enchilada plates. In other words, come hungry and they will fill you up with whatever you desire. Check out their website under "Resources," which includes a link to their online store.

Step 3
For late-night pizza attacks, try The Onion (located downtown at 116 W 5th St .) With toppings both usual (like Pepperoni, Grilled Chicken, Green Bell Pepper) and unusual (Artichoke Hearts, Dried Sweet Basil, Feta), the Onion stays open late from Wednesday to Sunday until 3am. Try one of their specialty pizzas such as The Queso Fantastico which includes Pepperoni, Jalapenos, Crushed Red Pepper, Bell Peppers, Red Onions, and Cheddar, or The Jerk Chicken which comes with a Caribbean Jerk sauce drizzled on top of tender strips of Grilled Chicken, Pineapple, Red Onions and Bell Peppers. They also have calzones, salads, and pizza rolls that comes with a side of Ranch, Bleu Cheese, or Marinara sauce. The Onion has a MySpace page which is have included under "Resources."

Step 4
Open until 3 PM, Thai Passion (620 Congress Ave Ste 105) serves up a great pad thai and some sweet sticky rice with mango (or sample the mango mousse for something really different.) Some of their own specials include Chu-Chee Fish (which is fried catfish with Thai curry, coconut milk, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, bell peppers, basil, and lime leaf); a curry made with roasted duck breast, pineapple, tomatoes, bell peppers, and basil in coconut milk; and a VERY hot (as in spicy) dish called "Dancing Seafood" that has scallops, shrimp, squid, mussels, mushrooms, tomatoes and onions in Thai hot & sour sauce. There is also plenty of noodle and rice dishes, stir-fry dishes and some simple but pleasing appetizers like the "Passion Rolls" which are spring rolls with crystal bean thread, Chinese mushrooms, carrots, and cabbage. See their website under "Resources" for a more extended view of their menu.

Step 5
If you are solely seeking cheap, sugary-sweet fare, try Mrs. Johnson's Bakery (4909 Airport Blvd ), where you'll get a free, fresh, hot-out-of-the-oven donut with your order. They have all kinds of donuts like simple glazed, blueberry cake, cinnamon rolls, Bavarian cream-filled and apple fritters, but they are infamous for their rich kolaches which are sausage wraps that come with. or without cheese. The bakery is open starting at 8 PM until 12 PM the next day, so it's convenient for late night munchies (plus hey have a drive-thru!) I have included their website under "Resources."
