Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Things You’ll Need:
- Equate acne wash
- Seabreeze or other astringent
- cotton balls
- facial mask
Step1
Think clean. Oily skin is prone to acne. Wash your face in the morning with acne wash. Equate makes the one I use every day. Wash your face again before going to bed. Try not to sleep in make-up. Remember clean means not leaving behind traces of soap either. If your face feels tight, you've left behind soapy residue even though you can't see it. Either rinse again or use astringent to mop up the excess. Especially on hot, humid days remember to wash your face in the middle of the afternoon if possible or use astringent. At the very least take your make-up off after work even if you'll be reapplying before going out for the evening. This is perfect for you if you work outside the home.
Step2
Only pay attention to your pimples while washing/caring for your face. Don't focus too much energy every waking hour, because this will only lead to rash decisions such as picking at your pimples. Refrain from picking or scrubbing your pimples. You don't want to cause scarring. My father has scarring from this habit. The goal should not be written in blood, because bleeding will not lead to healthy skin.
Step3
Know that yes, you can safely somewhat disguise mild or single pimples. Keep in mind that you must only wear foundation accompanied by the label,"doesn't clog pores." Look on the back, be sure. I wear Cover Girl. Don't comprimise. Never buy foundation from a catalog unless the caption entails product does not clog pores. Also be careful what else you put on your face. I seldom wear blush, because my blush doesn't promise not to clog pores and when it is on my face, it's only for a short time.
Step4
Through the day, wash your hands frequently since your hands eventually wind up on your face or in your hair though do try to keep your paws off your face.
Step5
Keep on eye on your skin. When you see a pimple, realize you need to kindly focus, but again make certain your focus is kind.
Step6
The way I first cleared my skin up began with applying a facial mask. Try Saint Ives. Also, I did use their facial scrub, but gently. Exfoliation is key, especially in the beginning though don't over do it. Once or twice a week is plenty.
Step7
Go naked. You heard me. Go naked. On your day off or on the weekends, don't wear make-up even if you just go naked half the day or until night fall.
Step8
Be patient. Skin control is kin to weight control in the sense that you shouldn't let one new pimple or a couple extra pounds stop you from pursuing your goals. You're doing well if you only get pimples once in awhile or your skin has improved over time. If you find yourself slacking, your only human. Learn from your skin's past and move forward. Don't give into acne.
