These mushroom sauced turkey cutlets will be a crowd pleaser wherever you serve them. Turkey is said to be the healthiest meat you can eat and with this recipe you'll be likely to serve turkey more than just on the holidays. This dish goes well with your favorite steamed vegetable and some rice and cranberry sauce.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 Turkey cutlets
  • 1/2 Cup flour
  • 1/2 Teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon pepper
  • 14 Cup butter or margarine
  • 1 Cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 14.5 Ounce can of chicken broth

    Mushroom Sauced Turkey

  1. Step 1

    Mix together 1/4 cup of the flour, garlic salt, and the pepper in wide bowl. Coat the turkey cutlets in this flour mixture.

  2. Step 2

    Place 1 tablespoon of the butter or margarine in skillet over medium high heat. Place the turkey cutlets in the skillet and brown 5 minutes each side and drain. Put turkey in covered platter to keep warm.

  3. Step 3

    Put the remaining butter or margarine in the skillet and add the mushrooms. Cook for 5 minutes. Put in the other 1/4 cup of flour and cook for about 4 minutes or till it bubbles.

  4. Step 4

    Pour broth into the skillet and stir until it thickens about 3 minutes. Pour the thickened sauce over the turkey and serve immediately. Makes 4 servings.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure the turkey is cooked thoroughly before removing from the skillet.
