Golgotha came into existence in January of 2008. Lead singer Caleb Wilemon and lead guitarist Matthew Dean had both been attempting to start bands of their own and they continually failed miserably. One day, in 07, Matt approached Caleb with the idea that they should start a band. They started off with an old band myspace profile that Matt had made a few years before. The band was called When Pigs Fly and it is still their strictly instrumental band today. After the two of them recorded some instrumentals on an eight dollar mic from wal-mart, Matt got together with Rhythm-guitarist Chris Duncan. The three of them decided to merge and form a Christian band that would be devoted to Jesus Christ alone. They then added Smoothie -the bassist- and drummer, Chris Nibblet. Since then they have had their first official performance and are in the process of recording their first album. Their inspiration comes from Jesus for he alone is worthy of praise.
