How to Make Vegan Chewy Granola Bars

This is a recipe for chewy granola bars. You'll have to go to your local Whole Foods Mart.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 c. vegan rice crispies
  • 2 c. dry oatmeal
  • 1 c. dried fruit (raisins, blueberries, cranberries)
  • 1/2 c. sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 c. chopped almonds
  • 1 c. corn syrup (light/vegan)
  • 3/4 c. vegan sugar
  • 1 TBSP vegan margarine
  1. Step 1

    MIX rice crispies - oatmeal - dried fruit - sunflower seeds - almonds in a large bowl.

    GREASE large pan with dab of vegan margarine.

  2. Step 2

    HEAT - 1 cup corn syrup to a boil, cut the heat back add the sugar and margarine. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

  3. Step 3

    USE large spoon to mix dry ingredients with the corn syrup/sugar.

  4. Step 4

    SPREAD mixture in the greased pan. Cover with wax paper and roll flat. Remove the wax paper and let goods sit for one hour.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can sub items for a less restrictive vegetarian lifestyle.
