In the Fall of 2008, the three big networks, ABC, NBC and CBS will all come together to broadcast the Stand Up 2 Cancer education and fund-raising event and you can be a part. Cancer touches the lives of 1 out of every 3 people and this epidemic has got to be addressed. It is the belief of the SU2C movement that we are at the brink of major discoveries and simply need to pump some money into the dream teams assembled to knock out cancer in all it's forms in our lifetime. How to Get Involved with the Stand Up 2 Cancer Movement

First, go to the Stand Up 2 Cancer website. This site is up and running and will give you more information on the SU2C mission and how you can get involved.

Register and join a team. Teams are groups of people, family members, co workers or anyone that will donate or raise money on behalf of someone special. Teams also come together due to shared cancer types or join as part of a company or business. You can also join a sports teams "team" and include your donations and efforts with theirs.

Launch a star. For a mere one dollar donation (or more if you like) you can name a star in the SU2C galaxy after someone whose life has been touched by cancer. Whether you are honoring someone who has passed on or a survivor, this is a great way to honor their life and make a donation. While there you can search the stars and see who has been honored so far.

Make a donation. Simply click on the donation link at the top of the page and you'll find plenty of donation options. You can donate in honor of someone, donate via your cell phone, or simply sign up and donate any amount of money you choose. They will tell you where the money goes and your dollars can really make a difference!

Watch the show. On September 5th, 2008 you'll get a chance to be a part of something special. All three networks will host an hour fundraiser featuring live performances and they hope to include an auction for live video chats with some big name stars! You'll learn a lot and be entertained as well. Mark your calenders.

Be sure to spend some time at the website looking at the SUTV videos and read through the online magazine with news about the science of discovery and personal stories of cancer.

Shop. You can buy SU2C shirts, hats and stickers that show you support cancer research.
