Playing the Almost Newlywed Game
-
1
Create a list of 20 or so questions about the person or couple being honored. If it's a bridal shower, create questions about the couple; their personal likes and dislikes, favorite things, special moments, firsts, etc. Have another person such as a friend or relative of the couple read over the questions to make sure there isn't anything that will make the honored guest feel uncomfortable.
-
2
Have one of the two from the couple come over before the party. Set up a video camera and have the person sit in front of it. Ask a question and record their response. Do this for every question.

-
3
Connect the video camera to the VCR. Test playing it on the television before the party starts to make sure everything works.
-
4
Have your guest all gather around the television. Sit the other half of the couple in a chair in the center. Explain that you will be asking a question and he/she has to answer it how they think their other half did. If they get the answer wrong they have to chew a piece of bubblegum.
-
5
Ask the first question. Allow the honored guest to answer. Play the video segment for that answer. If it's wrong give them a piece of bubblegum and make them start chewing it.
-
6
Repeat step five for each question. At the end have the guest pull out their bubblegum wad to show how big it is (based on how many answers they got wrong).
