Things You'll Need:
- 1 package (18 oz.) of sugar cookie dough (preferably Tollhouse found in your refrigerator section at the grocery store)
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 package (8 oz) of Philadelphia cream cheese
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup lime soda (Sprite or 7-up)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 medium granny smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 1/4 cup caramel ice cream topping
-
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Roll dough into a 14 inch circle on a 15 inch baking stone. If you don't have a baking stone, you can use a regular pizza pan lightly sprayed with Pam. Bake the cookie 10-15 minutes or until golden. Let cool 10 minutes.
-
Step 2
After the cookie is cooled, loosen the cookie from the stone or pan with a serrated break knife. Cool completely, about 15 minutes. Fill a small bowl with the lime soda and soak the apples in it. While the cookie finishes cooling, blend peanut butter, cream cheese, sugar and vanilla together in mixing bowl until smooth. Spread evenly on top of cooled cookie.
-
Step 3
Take your apples out of the soda and place them on top of the cream cheese mixture all over the pizza. Sprinkle the top lightly with cinnamon.
-
Step 4
Heat your caramel topping slightly in a microwave safe bowl about 15-20 seconds or until creamy. Drizzle over the top of the apples.
-
Step 5
Sprinkle with nuts or any other topping you like. Candy toppings also work well with this dessert, such as mini M&M's or sprinkles.
