From the streets of Manhattan to the restaurants of Paris, a classic (and classy) cocktail. Serves one.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • cracked ice
  • 2 oz. rye whiskey (or bourbon)
  • 1/2 oz. sweet vermouth
  • 1-2 dashes Angostura bitters (optional)
  • 1 maraschino cherry
  • Groceries
  • Liquor
  • Cocktail Glasses
  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Cocktail Strainer
  1. Step 1

    Put cracked ice in a shaker.

  2. Step 2

    Add whiskey or bourbon, vermouth and, if desired, bitters.

  3. Step 3

    Shake 6 times.

  4. Step 4

    Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

  5. Step 5

    Garnish with a cherry.

Tips & Warnings
  • Mixed drinks contain alcohol, so use moderation.
  • Never drink and drive.
