Pea salad is always a hit at our family picnics. It travels well and is easy to make. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

      INGREDIENTS:

      1/2 cup sour cream
      1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
      2 Tablespoons sugar
      2 cups fresh or frozen peas
      1 medium onion, chopped
      1/4 cup crumbled bacon
      1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

      In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Stir by hand until well mixed.

      Cover and refrigerate for several hours before serving. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.

Tips & Warnings

  • Low fat ingredients may be substituted and the salad will turn out just as delicious.
