The melted chocolate and butter should be smooth and even in color before you move on to the next step.

Melt the chocolate and margarine in the pot. Use medium heat and stir the melting chocolate to keep it from sticking to the bottom of the pot.

    • 4

Stir in the corn syrup, water and vanilla. Keep stirring until the mixture is even in consistency and color.

    • 5
You can add nuts to this recipe if you wish. Just stir them in!

Add the sugar and dry milk mixture.Do not add it all at once. Keep stirring until the fudge mixture is completely smooth.

Pour the mixture into the pan. Use a spatula to be sure you get all the fudge out of the pot. If any has burned onto the bottom, do not scrape it off as this will make your fudge taste burnt.

Once the fudge has cooled, you can decorate it with icing or other toppings.

Cool in the refrigerator or on the counter. Once the fudge hardens you can cut it into squares or holiday shapes if you wish.
