Things You'll Need:
- Money
- Helmet
- Sunglasses (Protective Eye Gear)
- Gloves (full fingered and fingerless)
- Chaps (optional)
- Boots (over the ankle)
-
Step 1
HelmetHELMET!(although not required by PA law, I HIGHLY suggest it for your own safety!)
Finding a helmet that fits: Make sure it's snug enough that's its not too loose yet not too tight. Put it on and then shake your head to see how it feels. -
Step 2
SunglassesProtective eye gear: Your eyeglasses, Sunglasses, even if you get a helmet that's full face protected with the shield...sunglasses would still be helpful because of the sun that may blind you.
-
Step 3
Leather JacketLeather Coat: They are expensive I know...recently I found a website that has some good deals. www.leatherup.com
Leather helps with weather (especially cold) and if you happen to upset it, you have it to protect yourself. (Ex: a family friend of ours, a deer jumped out in front of him and totaled his bike, but thanks to his helmet, jacket, and chaps, it saved him big time!)
Leather is highly recommended, but make sure anytime when riding you have some type of LONG SLEEVE on to protect your arms hence you happen to upset. Also I know it can be a HOT day outside that's 2 hot 2 wear leather. -
Step 4
Full fingered glovesGloves: I suggest that you get full fingered and fingerless.
Full fingered gloves helps for cooler weather and your hands wont be cold. -
Step 5
Fingerless glovesGloves 2: Fingerless helps in warm weather...this way in the warm/hot weather your hands wont be sweating and it also makes it easier to work with driving with handlebars.

Step 6
Over the Ankle BootsLast but not least you MUST wear over the ankle boots. This helps protect your feet/ankles. You can also find these at leatherup.com or harley shops.
