The region is composed of six unique towns: Copper, Breckenridge, Keystone, Dillon, Frisco and Silverthorne. Staying at one of the resorts is expensive. However, bargains can be found in Dillon, Frisco and Silverthorne. Summit County is also served by a free bus system. That in itself can sace you a good deal of money.

      If you are going to Summt County to ski, plan for either an early-season or late-season vacation. In Summit County, the slopes open as early as late October and close as late as June. If you are in the area for a ski vacation, you can usually get decent snow in early November and mid-April. Lodging and lift tickets are usually cheaper.
