How to Make Chicken Stuffed Shells

Chicken stuffed shells is a twist on the traditional Italian stuffed shells. This recipe wil give new life to an old favorite.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Box of large pasta shells
  • 2 boxes of instant stuffing mix
  • 2-3 large chicken breasts
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • 1 stick of butter

    How to Make Chicken Stuffed Shells

  1. Step 1

    Place 6 cups of water in a pot on the stove. Turn on to medium heat and bring to a boil. Once boiling, place shells in the pot to cook, 12-15 minutes or as recommended on the box. Drain shells and set aside.

  2. Step 2

    While shells are cooking, heat 2-3 tbsp. of oil in a skillet. Cut up chicken and cook in skillet for 5 minutes or until no longer pink. Once chicken has cooled, chop chicken up into smaller pieces.Set aside.

  3. Step 3

    Make the instant stuffing as directed, and combine stuffing with the chicken pieces.

  4. Step 4

    In a small bowl, combine the cream of chicken and cream of mushroom soups. Take 1/4 of this mixture and cover the bottom of a cake pan or casserole dish.

  5. Step 5

    Place shells in casserole dish or pan until the pan is full. Pour remaining soup mixture of the shells, covering evenly. Top shells with shredded cheese and bake in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. Serve and enjoy.
