How to Apply Liquid Foundation with a Brush

We all want our complexions to look flawless. Many of us were not graced with this upon birth so we have turned to liquid foundation to help us. The best way to apply this liquid foundation is with a brush. Follow these steps and you will expertly apply liquid foundation with a brush to give yourself a flawless complexion.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • One container of your usual moisturizer
  • One container liquid foundation that matches your skin tone
  • Foundation brush
  • Cotton squab
  • Well-lit mirror
  1. Step 1

    Moisturize your entire face. The only way liquid foundation with smoothly be applied with a brush is over well moisturized skin.

  2. Step 2

    Dip the cotton squab into the liquid foundation container. With the cotton squab place a dot of liquid foundation on your forehead, each cheek, chin and your nose.

  3. Step 3

    Brush the liquid foundation dots in a downward motion starting from your forehead. Make sure to use light steady strokes of the foundation brush to spread the liquid foundation dots out over all the skin on your face.

  4. Step 4

    Use the foundation brush to blend the edge of the liquid foundation along your jaw line in the skin on your neck. The goal is not to be able to see where the foundation ends, not to cover your neck in foundation.

Tips & Warnings
  • Thoroughly clean the foundation brush after every use with soap and water and let air dry on a flat surface.
  • A well cleaned foundation brush will only use up as much liquid foundation as is need to cover your face.
  • If you do not clean your foundation brush after every use you will spread bacteria on your skin that can lead to breakouts.
