Orange syrup is a delightful substitute for regular old pancake syrup. It is delicious on pancakes, waffles and biscuits at breakfast, or orange syrup can be used as a glaze for pound cake. Orange syrup is a little unexpected treat sure to jazz up all your breakfast breads and cakes.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 medium saucepan
  1. Step 1

    Combine 1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup frozen orange juice concentrate, and 1/2 cup unsalted butter in a medium sized saucepan.

  2. Step 2

    Bring ingredients to a boil on the stovetop, stirring continuously.

  3. Step 3

    Let orange syrup cool slightly.

  4. Step 4

    Serve warm over breakfast breads or pound cake.

Tips & Warnings
  • Orange syrup can also be used as a substitute for your usual cinnamon roll icing.
