How to Copy Music to a Mac From an iPhone or iPod Touch for Free
The iPhone/iTunes combo is usually a one-way street. You can put the tunes on but you can't get them off. What happens if your hard drive dies? Your music is forever trapped on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Of course, there is free software available to help you out.
The new format of the iPhone and iPod Touch makes it a little more difficult to just mount the device as a hard drive and extract the music from there. The latest version of Senuti (iTunes backwards) allows you to move your tunes the other way from the iPhone to your Apple computer.

Senuti will not transfer songs that already exist in your iTunes Library.
