It is important to have a list of sites that our kids can access so they do not surf to just any internet site. log on to a website such as http://www.kidsites.com/ . When you click on activities you get a list of internet sites to choose from. Some of those internet sites include Dora the explorer, Arthur, Ben and Jerry, Pooh, Clifford the Big Red Dog, National Geographic Kids and others.

Click on each one of the internet sites you are interested in and view it for yourself. What you will be looking for is the innocence of the pictures. Are the pictures offensive or questionable? Look around throughout the site and decide if the pictures are suitable for your kids. Allow the website to meet up to your standards and if it doesn’t then move on to the next one. You will eventually find more than enough internet websites that are safe for you kids. So view the pictures on the internet site and make your decision.

Read through the internet website as much as possible. Remember that if your child is able to read then chances are he will be reading what is on those web pages of that internet site you chose.

Observe the pop ups that come up with certain websites. Some internet sites have more pop ups than others and some have pop ups that even you wouldn’t want to see. So spend a little time on the internet site and be alert to what pops up.

Go over this with your kids and let them know not to give any of their personal information out to any internet site or any person online without your consent.
