How to Make Potato Cheese Puffs in the Crock Pot

This dish takes literally five minutes to assemble because it uses canned potatoes verses cooking and mashing fresh potatoes. Utilizing the crock pot allows you to make the potato cheese puffs ahead of time. Here is a simple way to get started:

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 cans of cooked potatoes
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 stick of butter
  • Dash of salt
  • 2 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese grated
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • Large bowl
  • Crock Pot
  • Spoon

    Start With the Potatoes

  1. Step 1

    Place your cooked potatoes from the cans into a large mixing bowl and beat until smooth.

  2. Step 2

    Transfer potatoes to crock pot.

  3. Step 3

    Add eggs, milk, butter, salt, and cheese to the crock pot.

  4. Step 4

    Place the lid on the crock pot and turn knob to low and cook for four hours.

  5. Step 5

    Serve hot.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use fresh potatoes in this recipe, but you must boil and mash them first.
  • You can also substitute any cheese for the cheddar.
