How to Make Bacon Cheddar Quiche
Quiche is a simple one-dish meal that is easy to customize for meat lovers, vegetarians and even those who are avoiding cholesterol (use eggbeaters instead).The secret to a good quiche is in the crust. Unless you have the time and know-how to make your own, however, you can skip that step and use the Marie Callendar deep dish pie shells. - 1 Marie Callendar brand deep dish pie shell
- 8 oz. sour cream
- 4 eggs
- 8 oz. grated cheddar cheese
- 6 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Use a fork to pierce frozen piecrust in a few places on the bottom and sides.

Prebake empty shell for 5-6 minutes. Remove pie shell from oven and set aside.Meanwhile, in large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs.

Add grated cheese, sour cream, and crumbled bacon.

Mix together with rubber spatula and turn into pie shell.

Return to oven and bake 50-55 minutes, or until brown on top and toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.Remove from oven and serve warm or at room temperature.

Tips & Warnings
You can substitute 3/4 cup cooked sausage or 5-6 cooked, chopped breakfast sausage links for the bacon.
Only prebake shell for 5-6 minutes (this helps set the crust so it won't be soggy).
