These pork chops will look like they were made by a chef, but you'll be surprised how quick and easy they are to make. Your family and guests will think it's a special occasion and ask for these pork chops again and again. Only you will know they took less than an hour. Follow the simple steps below and you'll be a hit!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 Boneless pork chops, 1 1/2 inch thick
  • 6 Separate tablespoons of butter or margarine
  • 1 Chopped onion
  • 3 slices of crumbled raisin bread
  • 1/2 Apple, chopped and peeled
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon pepper
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 1/2 Cup water
  • 2 Tablespoons flour
  • 1 Cup of apple cider

    Making Apple Stuffed Pork Chops

  1. Step 1

Slice the pork chops in the middle thickness to make pockets. Put a frying pan over medium heat and add 3 tablespoons of the butter or margarine. Add onion and cook till soft. Take pan off heat and add the raisin bread, apple, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix together.

  2. Step 2

Put 1/4 cup of the stuffing to the side and stuff the rest into the pork chops. Heat a frying pan and add the other 3 tablespoons of butter or margarine.

  3. Step 3

Put chops into pan and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Pour in water, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Turn chops over and simmer for another 15 minutes or till chops are done.

  4. Step 4

Take chops out of pan and keep warm. Mix flour into the remaining drippings and add the apple cider and the quarter cup of stuffing you set aside. Stir and cook till thickened and then serve over the pork chops.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use string or large toothpicks to secure chops so stuffing won't fall out.
  • The apple cider in the gravy will make the chops taste sweet. If you prefer you can use a vegetable or beef broth instead of the cider.
