Wouldn't it be nice if you could serve everyone hot toast at the same time? This never happens when you use a toaster. You either have to serve people at different times or deal with cold toast. There is another option though. You can easily prepare toast in your oven and it takes the same amount of time, but everyone will have hot toast.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 8 slices of bread
  • 1 stick of butter, melted
  • Pastry brush
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Step 2

Spray a large cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Spraying the cookie sheet will allow you to skip having to turn the toast over. This means that you'll have more time to tend to other breakfast recipes.

  3. Step 3

Place the bread in a single layer. Make sure the bread has enough room on the pan or parts of the bread won't get crisp. This is why a large cookie sheet is a must.

  4. Step 4

Brush each piece with melted butter. Each piece should be thoroughly brushed or it won't get golden brown. By adding the butter before baking, you ensure that the toast not only gets golden brown, but is extra buttery as well.

  5. Step 5

Bake until golden brown. The exact time will depend on your oven, but this process will take around 10 to 15 minutes.

Tips & Warnings
  • A silicone pastry brush is much easier to clean.
  • If you use margarine, you're oven toast will not brown.
