Things You'll Need:
- Bible
- Friends
- Modest clothes
-
Step 1
Date teenagers who are also Christians. The Bible says, "Do not be yoked with unbelievers." in 2 Corinthians 6:14. That means you don't want to marry a person who isn't the same faith as yourself. Dating a person can lead to falling in love. A person who doesn't share your faith may lead you to make bad choices that you will later regret.
-
Step 2
Dress modestly for a Christian date. Wearing revealing clothing can lead to impure thoughts and actions even when that isn't your intent.
-
Step 3
Come home on timeHonor your father and mother by following their dating rules and that includes curfews. Deuteronomy 5:16 makes it clear that everyone, no matter how young or old you are, must honor their father and mother. This verse is repeated numerous times in the Bible indicating how important it is. Another verse, Ephesians 6:1 says you should "obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right."

Step 4
Date in public placesPlan dates in public places and have an agenda for what you will be doing there. If you are surrounded by spectators you are less likely to do something you may later regret. If you are busy with planned activities your mind is less likely to wander to impure thoughts or activities.
-
Step 5
Attend Christian concertsLook for activities that remind you of your faith and commitment to God. Some good activities include attending Christian concerts, movies, and planned social activities with other Christian teenagers.
