  1. Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. Step 2

Combine the vegetarian chicken bouillon granules, poultry seasoning, and celery seed in a medium saucepan. Stir in 1 cup of water. Add TVP granules. Heat the mixture to boil over medium heat.

  3. Step 3

Boil mixture for 1 minute. Remove from heat and let stand for 15 to 20 minutes.

  4. Step 4

Combine bread crumbs, garlic powder, pepper, and salt in a small bowl or plate. Place the bowl to the side.

  5. Step 5

Place the TVP mixture into a bowl with 1/8 cup of flour. Combine, slowly adding more flour by the tablespoon until consistency is firm.

  6. Step 6

Remove the TYP mixture from the bowl and place it on a cutting board. Using a rolling pin or your hands, flatten the TVP to 1 to 1 ½ inch thickness. Using a knife or your hands, cut or shape the TVP into chicken-strip-like pieces.

  7. Step 7

Dip the TVP chicken strips into the bowl containing the bread crumb mixture, thoroughly coating the pieces.

  8. Step 8

Place TVP chicken strips onto a greased baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.

  9. Step 9

Serve TVP chicken strips with dipping sauces such as ranch, honey mustard, or barbecue.
