How to Bake Cheese Fingers

These appetizers are quick and easy to make and add a savory snack to any buffet.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 8 oz self raising flour
  • 3 oz mature cheddar, grated
  • 3 oz margarine
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of pepper
  • mixing bowl
  • rolling pin
  • fork
  • baking sheet, greased

    How to Bake Cheese Fingers

  1. Step 1

    Mix together the flour, salt and pepper in the mixing bowl.

  2. Step 2

    Rub in the margarine evenly.

  3. Step 3

    Mix in the mustard, cheese and stir into a stiff paste adding the egg and milk.

  4. Step 4

    Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness and cut into narrow fingers.

  5. Step 5

    Prick each finger a couple of times with a fork and place on a greased baking sheet.

  6. Step 6

    Bake in the oven at 350F for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
