A straddle is a position that helps stretch the inner thigh and increases flexibility and mobility.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Comfortable clothes
  1. Step 1

Begin by sitting on the ground with your legs straight out in front of you, feet touching.

  2. Step 2

Spread your legs to either side of your body, or as far as they will go.

  3. Step 3

Put your hands on the ground in front of you and lean forward as far as you can tolerate. This will increase the stretch.

  4. Step 4

Relax by breathing and imagining yourself sinking into the stretch. This will avoid tenseness.

  5. Step 5

Deepen the stretch for maximum flexibility by attempting to keep your straddle position while laying on your stomach.

  6. Step 6

Keep practicing this move daily until you can spread your legs straight out from side to side.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not overstretch; you could tear your muscle.
  • Do not do a stretch while you are tense.
