A stiff neck can be such a hassle and a nuisance throughout the day. A stiff neck can even last more than a day. It's annoying and painful. Most of the time a stiff neck is caused by poor ergonomics, or simply sleeping "wrong". This type of stiff neck can be relieved with Chinese neck stretches.
Position One Chinese Neck Stretch:Sit comfortably on your feet with your back straight. Keep your good posture in mind. Look to the right as far as you can, using your hand to help if you want to. Count to ten slowly while taking deep breaths. Look to the left as far as you can, using your hand to help you if you want to. Count to ten slowly while taking deep breaths. Return to regular facing forward position while still sitting on your knees.
Position Two Chinese Neck Stretch:Move your head down to the left (your ear as close to your shoulder as possible) . You'll feel the stretch on your right side. Use your hand to help stretch just a little bit further. Take deep breaths and slowly count to ten. Carefully remove your hand and repeat on the other side.
Position Three Chinese Neck Stretch:Move your head downward and forward while keeping your back straight. Remember, we are stretching your neck, not your back. Take a long, deep breath and let your head fall further down. Now use your hands on the back of your head to gently press down a little but more. Take deep breaths while slowly counting to ten. Let your head return to its original position.
Stretch your whole body every day using yoga or pilates
