How to Do the Fighters Stance in Kung Fu

The fighting stance is one of the easiest positions you will learn in Kung Fu. Used during tournaments or combat training, this stance helps protect your face from attack and allows you to move around freely while protecting your body.

Instructions

    How to Do the Fighters Stance in Kung Fu

  1. Step 1

    Stand up straight and make sure your body is in perfect alignment.

  2. Step 2

    Position your hands at face level. Bend them slightly.

  3. Step 3

    Form a fist with each hand.

  4. Step 4

    Move your legs so they are hip's distance apart. Your left leg should be placed slightly ahead of your right leg.

  5. Step 5

    Bend your knees slightly.

  6. Step 6

    Balance on the tips of your toes so you can easily move around in fighters position.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure your body is solid so it can take the impact of being hit by your opponent.
