How to Use Canon XH A1 Audio Auto Levels

You can use adjust the Canon XH A1 video camera’s automatic audio level to the environment by using the built in microphone and you can also adjust the microphone’s sensitivity. It can be set to accommodate your recording conditions.

Instructions

    Correctly Set the Canon XH A1 Video Camera's Auto Audio Levels

  1. Step 1

    Set the Audio Level switch, located on the rear lower left corner, to A.

  2. Step 2

    Change the built in microphone’s sensitivity. First, open the Menu and select Audio Setup

  3. Step 3

    Select the setting MIC Sensiti. The word Sensitivity is abbreviated.

  4. Step 4

    Choose either the Normal or High option, then close the menu. Normal is used to record audio under standard conditions. High enables you to record audio at a higher volume.

Tips & Warnings
  • Test the different settings so you become familiar with how they affect the audio’s sound. That way, when you’re doing it “for real” you know exactly which combination of settings will give you the best results.
