Instructions

    • 1

Charge your battery fully. Using the PSP in online mode burns power quickly.

    • 2

Set the wireless switch on your PSP to "On." On the older PSP 1000, this is the switch on the lower left of the unit. Slide the switch to the up-most position. On the newer PSP 2000 (slim version), look for the switch on the top, and slide to to the right in order to turn it on.

    • 3

Turn on the PSP, and go to the main menu. Press the "Home" button if you are in a game or other application.

    • 4

Scroll to the far left side of the menu with the arrow keys.

    • 5

Scroll downward as far as you can using the arrow keys. "Network Settings" should now be displayed on your screen. Enter the network settings menu by pressing the "X" button.

    • 6

Select Infrastructure Mode. Then select "New Connection." This will take you to WLAN Settings.

    • 7

Select "scan" and wait for the PSP to scan the airwaves for available wireless connections. When it is finished there will be a list of connections. Select your router from among them. Follow the prompts to choose security settings and to enter your password, if there is one. When finished, confirm your selection and go back to the main menu.
