How to Download Joke Viruses

There are all sorts of funny and entertaining things that you can do to your friend, especially when you have the Internet at your disposal. One example of this is fake or joke viruses. These are viruses that can be downloaded to a computer that act as if they pose a real threat, but really are harmless.

Things You’ll Need:

• Internet connection
• Computer

1. Determine and choose which joke virus you would like to download. There are many joke virus and trojan virus websites on the Internet, such as the one in Resources below.
2. Proceed with the download process of the joke virus by clicking the "download" button on the website where the joke virus is located.
3. Make sure that the fake virus is downloaded to your desktop.
4. Unzip the folder by choosing the option "Extract all" if the fake virus is in a .zip folder.
5. Extract and unzip the contents of the fake virus to the application folder where you want it to be placed. The best place to put a fake computer virus is in an application or program that is used almost daily.
6. Sit back and watch while you or someone else opens the program that the fake virus has been downloaded to. He or she should receive an error message or some other message that is specific to the fake virus that you downloaded.
