The Bourbon Sling is a great summer drink that is refreshing, light, and balanced. It uses the natural acidic flavors found in citrus to highlight some of the more subtle smoky notes of bourbon. Here's how to make your own Bourbon Sling:

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 oz. Bourbon
  • 3 oz. Lemon Juice
  • 1 oz. Simple Syrup
  • 1 Slice of Lemon (optional garnish)
  • Ice
  • Rocks Glass

    Making a Bourbon Sling

  1. Step 1

    Fill the rocks glass 2/3 full with ice.

  2. Step 2

    Add the bourbon to the rocks glass.

  3. Step 3

    Add the simple syrup to the rocks glass.

  4. Step 4

    Add the lemon juice to the rocks glass.

  5. Step 5

    Stir to combine ingredients thoroughly.

  6. Step 6

    Garnish with a slice of lemon on the rim of the glass, if desired.

  7. Step 7

    Serve immediately.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the Bourbon Sling seems a bit too potent right after it's made, let it sit for a few minutes to water down a bit.
