How to Make an Inexpensive Gift for a Child's Teacher

Things You'll Need

• Honey
• Box of tea
• Butter or sugar cookies or mix
• Spice cake mix or pre-made cake
• Tea ball
• Paper
• Pen
• Card
• Gift bag or basket.

Instructions

1. Gather your supplies. You can use a gift bag or a basket to hold everything. Make sure you have enough for each teacher.

2. Write out "You are sweet as honey" on a piece of paper. Cut out the message and tape it to the jar of honey.

3. Write out "To the best tea-cher." Cut out the message. Tape to the box of tea.

4. Write out "You are one great cookie." Cut out the message. Tape to the cookies.

5. Write out "You take the cake." Cut out and tape to the spice cake.

6. Write out "Having you as a teacher has been a ball." Cut out and tape to the tea ball.

7. Write this message on a card: "We hope you think this is "punny". We "jest" wanted to send you our warmest wishes."Put the items carefully in the gift bag or basket. Tape the card to the outside or place in the basket. Give your tea party gift to the teacher and watch her smile.
