  • 8 oz. self rising flour
  • 3 oz. sugar
  • 3 oz. currents
  • 3 oz. margarine
  • 1 oz. orange peel, grated
  • 1 egg
  • Small amount of milk
  • Mixing bowl
  • Greased baking sheet

How to Bake Rock Buns

  • Add the flour and sugar to the mixing bowl and stir in.

  • Rub in the margarine until the mixture consists of smooth crumbs.

  • Stir in the currants and grated peel.

  • Beat the egg and add a little milk.

  • Add the egg and milk to the flour and mix into a stiff dough.

  • Divide into 14 even mounds and put onto the baking sheet.

  • Bake in the oven at 450 F for about 20 minutes.
