How to Make a Harrier Paper Airplane

The Harrier model paper airplane is an award-winning model said to have been invented by an English school boy. It is known for its ability to glide long distances. It is easy to make and fun to fly.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• A piece of letter-size paper

1. 

   Fold a piece of paper in half lengthwise, then open it again.

2. 

   Fold the top corners into the center line.

3. 

   Fold down the top triangle to within one inch of the bottom of the paper.

4. 

   Fold in the corners again.

5. 

   Fold up the little triangular tip that is sticking out below the triangular flaps.

6. 

   Fold in half lengthwise, making sure the little triangle is on the outside of the plane.

7. 

   Fold the wings in half, forming an an oblique angle, so that the far edge of the wing lines up with the base of the plane.

8. 

   The wings of the finished Harrier should slant upward from the tip of the body.
