Tan legs is a very popular look. But with the fear of skin cancer, many people are using self tanner as a substitute to sun exposure. Follow these simple steps to apply self tanner to your legs and get a flawless tan.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Self tanner for legs
  • Salt or sugar body scrub
  • Razor
  • Shaving cream
  • Latex gloves

Lets Make Your Legs Tan

Step1
Prepare your skin for self tanner by exfoliating the skin on your legs. You can use either a salt or sugar body scrub. This step will help to keep the self tanner from streaking on your legs. Wet both legs. Rub the body scrub up and down on both legs. Pay particular attention to dry areas like your knee caps. Rinse the body scrub off your legs.
Step2
Shave your legs with a razor and shaving cream. Rinse off both legs thoroughly. Hair on your legs can cause streaks with self tanner.
Step3
Wear latex gloves to protect your hands from getting stained from the self tanner. Apply an even coat of self tanner to both legs. Make sure you cover all skin that will be visible including your ankles. Rub the self tanner into both legs until it is completely absorbed.
Step4
Let your legs dry completely before they touch any material. If you do not do this, you will have spots on your legs where the self tanner did not fully dry.
Step5
Reapply the self tanner every 2 to 3 days to maintain your tan. Do not exfoliate your skin before reapplying.
