A cleome has a nickname of "Spider Flower" due to its spider-like flowers.Which are held tall on strong leafy stems that are long with waving stamen.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • plants
  • water
  • soil
  • place to plant them
  1. Step 1

    Start seeds indoors for about 4 weeks before that last frost.

  2. Step 2

    Then plant outside once Spring has come and no more worries of frost.Space the plants 1 ft. apart.Germination takes about 10 days.

  3. Step 3

    They like to be well watered in very warm water.

Tips & Warnings
  • These flowers are favorites of hummingbirds
  • They have a musty smell that isn't so pleasant
  • Also they need protection from strong winds
