How to Do the Swing Through Move With Nunchucks

The swing through move is surprisingly easy. The swing through looks like an amazingly fast and impressive move, but it is really only a fast combination of simple spins. Fast and impressive, but easy to master.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Nunchucks

    The Impressive Swing Through

  1. Step 1

    Hold your nunchucks in your right hand with your hand near the top--where the rope is connected. Leg your nunchuck-hang behind your shoulder.

  2. Step 2

    Practice rotating your wrist in a way that will cause your nunchucks to spin. Try to spin your nunchuck in a circle in front of your hand so that you don't strike your body.

  3. Step 3

    As you spin your nunchucks, move your hand downwards in an arch. Then move your hand upwards.

  4. Step 4

    Finish this motion with your arm across your chest and your nunchucks behind your left shoulder.

  5. Step 5

    Reverse the motion, spinning your nunchucks and moving it downwards in an arching fashion and upwards until you are able to swing it up and behind your right shoulder.

  6. Step 6

    Increase the speed in which you perform these movements gradually. Speed is essential in the performance of this technique.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use caution: Do not hit yourself with the nunchucks.
