How to Tie a Knut Hitch

The knut hitch is a simple knot that has been around for a very long time. It is a popular hitch for carrying items with holes in the center. It is particularly popular with climbers.

Instructions

Step 1

Make a loop in your line and pull it through the loop you wish to tie through.
Step 2

Take the end of the line and pull it over top of the loop you're tying into, and through the loop in the line itself.
Step 3

Tie a regular knot on the end of your line, in order to keep the line from pulling out.
