A snuggles hitch is a good knot for holding weight that may have a tendency to shift on you. The knot can be done with few moves, and once learned, is fairly easy to recall.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Pull a good amount of line to work with, wrap your working end under your hitch, and back over, going into what would be a clove hitch.

  2. Step 2

Pull the end of the line back through the loop you've made.

  3. Step 3

Wrap the line back around the hitch once more and loop the end through the standing end, and bring it through.

  4. Step 4

Wrap the end of the line back around the hitch once more, and pull it through the foremost loop and pull tight.

Tips & Warnings
  • The snuggle hitch is a good knot to use when the clove hitch isn't sufficient for the job.
