How to Tie a Snuggles Hitch

A snuggles hitch is a good knot for holding weight that may have a tendency to shift on you. The knot can be done with few moves, and once learned, is fairly easy to recall.

Instructions

1. Pull a good amount of line to work with, wrap your working end under your hitch, and back over, going into what would be a clove hitch.

2. Pull the end of the line back through the loop you've made.

3. Wrap the line back around the hitch once more and loop the end through the standing end, and bring it through.

4. Wrap the end of the line back around the hitch once more, and pull it through the foremost loop and pull tight.

• The snuggle hitch is a good knot to use when the clove hitch isn't sufficient for the job.
