Lawn dusters provide gardeners with the ability to spread essential lawn-care substances with a reasonable degree of accuracy and coverage.   3. Step 3

    Begin your pattern. Walk at a slow, easily controlled pace. Be as steady as possible and take your time. Once you are more comfortable, you can increase your speed as you see fit.

  4. Step 4

    Crank at a steady pace as you begin applying the dust. Try matching your walking pace to make things more simple.

  5. Step 5

    Set up land marks if you notice yourself getting off course, or mark off sections of your pattern with rocks or other yard materials to keep you on track.
