Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

In order to set the cell phone to the Prius it must be Bluetooth equipped. While sitting in the car turn the phone and the car on at the same time. Take the phone and going into the settings menu press Bluetooth after two or three seconds the card will beep and show a Bluetooth connection was made.

  2. Step 2

Press the information button on the navigation system then press the telephone button on the screen. Settings will appear on the display screen press this option. Press the down arrow until you see transfer phone data. Before transferring the phone book make sure, the phone book is empty on the navigation screen. Depending on if the phone book has numbers stored already will determine which function you will need to use. Overwriting phone book means you are going over top of what is in the system already. Adding the phone book will just take what you have stored into your cell phone and this will be placed in the Prius database. Duplications can happen in your Prius phone book if you have already stored some numbers on your own. In order to get rid of the duplications you will have to delete them out of the Prius phone book.

  3. Step 3

At this time, your phone will then send the phone book directly to your car phone book. The Prius can pair up to six mobile phones into the database system. If your spouse has a need to drive the car then the Prius will automatically pair the last used cell phones phone book. In order to change it to there cell phone they just need to go into settings and select there personal phone book instead of yours.
