Things You'll Need:
- New faucet
- Saw (optional)
- Wrench
- Water and vinegar (for cleaning)

Step 1
Choose a faucet that matches the existing hole configuration in your sink.

Turn off water valves. These are usually located under the sink. You may have to turn off the water to the whole house.

Make sure the valves are not leaking by turning on the faucet.

Unscrew the water supply lines. You may have to buy extra line, or completely replace these, while installing the new faucet.

Unscrew the faucet from the sink and remove. You may need a special basin wrench to reach the fastenings.

Clean the area around the sink and underneath the sink with water and vinegar.

Every faucet is different. Refer to the instructions on the faucet you bought to install it correctly. For example, you may need plumber's putty or special wrenches.

Replace the water supply lines, or place the old ones back in place.

Turn on the water valves, and try out your new faucet.
