Step 1
Volunteer your time with local animal rights organizations. You will meet other volunteers with similar beliefs and concerns. Although not everybody who is concerned with animal welfare is a vegetarian, you are far more likely to meet vegetarians there than in most charities. If you don't meet your soulmate here, you have helped out those in need and may just meet a best friend.

Step 2
Place a personal ad. Although it is not something that many want to talk about, a lot of people both place and respond to personal ads. It's an especially wise choice for vegetarians who want to date other vegetarians. It can be hard to meet somebody with those ideals, and you don't want to compromise your lifestyle for love.

Step 3
Speak to a crush, even if he isn't a vegetarian. Some people will eventually be swayed if they understand what animals go through in the meat industry. Never preach or give an ultimatum to someone you're dating. Like everybody else, your date will want respect. More people inspire other vegetarians by attracting them through positive examples and compassionate dialog than any other route.

Step 4
Shop at vegetarian grocery stores if possible. If you don't have vegetarian marts in your area, consider health food stores. You never know when a conversation can be started.

Step 5
Seek out vegetarian singles events. They have them often in big cities like Los Angeles and New York City. You could even consider starting one in your area if none exist. Chances are, there are a lot of single vegetarians who secretly wish to date a vegetarian kindred spirit.
