How to Use Cucusoft Zune Video Converter Suite

Install the Cucusoft Zune DVD Converter software. It is available as a trial version, so you can evaluate the product before buying it, and as a full-featured retail version.

Start the DVD Converter by using the icon on the desktop or the Start menu in Windows. A new window will open that contains the basic conversion options.

Select one of the Zune video output formats from the “Profile” drop-down list on the right-side window. The setting you choose will determine the quality of the resulting video and the size of the file.

Choose the options to crop or resize the video from the two boxes below the "Profile" box, according to your personal preferences and the format of the movie you intend to convert.

Select the directory you would like the converted video to be saved into from the bottom box on the right, which is labeled “Output.”

Insert a DVD movie into the DVD drive, and click the “Cancel” button if the Windows auto-play dialog box is displayed.

Press the button that is labeled “Open DVD,” and select your DVD drive from the resulting window. A new window will open, with specific conversion options for the movie.

Enter the name of the output file, the directory to save it to, the quality of the output file and the point at which to begin recording. Press the “Yes” button to begin the conversion. The Cucusoft Zune DVD Converter will take a while to process the file. When the file is ready, it will give you the option of opening the Zune software.

Click “Open File” from the gray window to select the file you would like to convert from the appropriate location on your computer. Multiple files may be selected for batch conversions, if desired.

Select the format of the output file in the "Profile" drop-down box.

Choose the directory for the output files from the “Output” menu.

Press the “Convert” button, and wait for the process to finish. Once the Cucusoft Zune Video Converter has saved the file, it can start the Zune software, and the movie can be transferred to the device.
