Learn how to perform a Tae Kwon Do Tornado Kick. This is a powerful kick that could trick your opponent into thinking you will be using your right leg when you are planning on using your left. It's powerful when done correctly.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Begin in guarding stance. Some call this the fighting stance. What you call it is up to you. In the guarding stance your knees are bent, your eyes on target, your hands up to protect your head and chest, and your weight on your back leg. Begin your practice in this stance with your left leg in front facing forward and your back right leg facing to your right. Always begin your Tae Kwon Do techniques in a good stance.

  2. Step 2

Pivot. Your spin can't be done correctly without first moving your front foot. Move your foot's location by pointing your toes as far back as you can to get a good spin.

  3. Step 3

Spin. The Tae Kwon Do tornado kick looks cool because of the spins. Begin your first spin by raising your back leg and spinning around completely. Now you should be facing forward again with your right knee up.

  4. Step 4

Jump and bring your left leg up to a crescent kick. The higher you can jump the better. It will take practice to get this to full speed.
