    Things You'll Need

    • Large square scarf
      • 1

Fold the scarf in half so that it forms a triangle.

      • 2

Lay the folded scarf over your head so that the middle corner hangs down the back of your head and over your neck. The two sides should fall in front of your shoulders.

      • 3

Tie the two side corners at the base of the back of your head, beneath the middle corner. Be careful not to get the middle corner caught in the tie.

      • 4

Take the right corner of the scarf hanging over your shoulder and gently wrap it around the middle corner, the tail, hanging over the back of your head. Wrap it around once or twice, depending upon how long the cloth is, and hold in place.

Now take the other side and do the same. Wrap it around the tail and hold it in place.

      • 6

Tie both sides together underneath the ponytail you’ve created.

      • 7

Tuck the two ends from the tie into the ponytail band you created.
